The thought of getting behind the wheel of a car did not appeal to me at all, at first it scared me. After just a couple of lessons with Phil, I already felt relaxed and ready to learn! He was very patient with me and has a magic way of explaining things that just makes sense. He was always calm and professional, which in turn kept me calm. Even after a long break in lessons due to the pandemic, he was able to ease me back comfortably into driving as quickly as one week before my test. I had almost zero expectations that I would pass first time, and I don’t imagine I would have with any other instructor! I would definitely recommend that you choose to learn with Phil, as he will get you through!

If you are someone who feels like they will never pass their driving test… Look no further than Phil! As someone who was terrified of driving – I can say I was the person who would prefer to stay in the car park than to actually get out on the ‘scary’ roads!- and had zero confidence in my capability, Phil taught me from scratch how to be a cautious, competent and vigilant driver, through patience and clearly excellent instructing. Not only did I always feel in safe hands – even when I would make the most ridiculous learner driver errors- most importantly, I felt like I benefited from the kind of instructing that would teach me ‘real life’ driving that would properly prepare me for the day when I had passed and had no one sat by me as a comfort… rather than the bare minimum to pass a driving test! Phil is calm, chatty, clearly experienced and knowledgeable in his field. Ask anyone, if Phil got me through my test then he can get anyone through theirs! Phil is definitely one of a kind.
